October TBR

Hey everybody!

If you have been following me for a while, you know that I don’t usually do TBR posts. The reason being that I rarely follow the list and end up reading really randomly. This month though, as part of my whole plan to be a part of blogtober, I thought it would be fun to do a TBR post and see how many of them will I actually end up reading. Wish me luck πŸ˜€

This post is based on one of the prompts that Jenniely suggests using for Blogtober. Check out her post here.

Also, how do you like the new post-banner colors? I love these dazzling fall vibe colors ❀

Here is my TBR list for the month. I have included an eclectic range of books from all genres.

Not Gods But Monsters (Realm of Tah’afajien #1)

ngbm

Author: Joshua Banker
Genres: Speculative fiction, Fantasy, Sci-fi

This book is the first in a series of two books. The author sent me both of these books for review. I love reading fantasy and this one blends fantasy with sci-fi. The synopsis also gave me ‘hunger games’ vibes of a girl going against the system, although the synopsis does suggest that the MC is in a good place when the story starts.

Rescuing The Prince

rtp

Author: Meghan Mcvey
Genres: Fantasy, YA

I may or may not have accepted this due to the cover πŸ˜‰ I was sent this book too by the author and the synopsis includes a Dragon, so I had to accept it!

Never Be Alone

nba

Author: Paige Dearth
Genres: Horror, Mystery & Thriller

This is probably the first time I am going to be reading something from the ‘Horror’ genre and from the looks of it this one seems like a good start. It has got excellent ratings on goodreads and very good reviews. I requested this on Netgalley during one of my requesting sprees there πŸ˜›

The Toy Thief

ttt

Author: D. W. Gillespie
Genres: Horror

Doesn’t this cover give you the creeps? Another horror genre book that I requested on Netgalley solely because of the creepy vibe this one gives off. I included this and the previous book to satisfy the spookiness craving of October.

Fromage Γ  Trois

fat

Author: Victoria Brownlee
Genres: Women’s fiction, Romance, Contemporary

The cover justifies my choice of this book! Paris and cheese? Take my money and give me the book! Well, not really πŸ˜€ This one was a ‘Read Now’ on Netgalley and I instantly knew that I have to read this. This one is kept on my TBR as a light and cute gateway amidst all the spooky seriousness.

Sister of Saidnaya

Author: Rose Ann Kalister
Genres: Historical Fiction

I was sent this copy by the Publishers. It looked compelling and it includes Syria. The Syrian crisis is one that is actually very close to my heart. Through this book, I expect to see the world through the eyes of a Syrian immigrant as the book promises. I have great expectations from this one!

First Comes Marriage

fcm

Author: Huda Al- Marashi
Genres:Non-Fiction, Memoir

Finally, here is another cute romance story but this time, it’s Non-fiction. I requested this book from the publishers since I saw a mutual raving about it.

There it is! My TBR for the month of October. What books are on your reading list this month?
